Kcymaerxthaere at The Happiness Farm

A portal to a parallel universe, in our garden.

Kcymaerxthaere is a parallel universe created by the artist Eames Demetrios. He calls it a “geographika”, a geography of the imagination that sits alongside our own world and is explored through physical installations and stories.

Its many worlds each have their own culture, history and laws of physics, and they meet at points of intersection. Demetrios has placed more than 100 installations around the world that act as these portals, and he tells the history of each on the Kcymaerxthaere website.

Two of them are on our farms: one in the garden here in Paro, and one in a cave at our sister farm in the Punakha Valley. There are four in Bhutan in all; the other two are in Lungtenphu and in Phongmey, Trashigang.
