Come as a tourist. Stay as a friend. Leave as family.
Bhutan’s first regenerative eco farm stay: a family farm in Dogar, Paro, that gives back more to the land than it takes. Eight wood-panelled rooms, organic meals from our own farms in Paro and Punakha, and a view across to the 17th-century Langka Monastery and the Genekha Valley.

A working farm, run by a family
The Happiness Farm is the farm of Dorji, his wife Kezang and their family, in Dogar, in the terraced hills of Paro. We grow apples, Japanese pears, walnuts and vegetables, and nearly everything on your plate comes from our own land.
Our sister farm, The Happiness Farm in the Punakha Valley, grows more than 22 kinds of fruit and vegetables, including avocados, oranges, lemons, pineapples and dragon fruit. They are brought to Paro and served to you here, making us Bhutan’s first regenerative, agro-based farm-to-table stay. Everything is grown organically, and everything is done with love. We want everyone, and children and young people above all, to know where their food comes from, and how good real, organic food is for the body.
Stay a night or a week. Pick fruit, collect eggs, cook with us, or sit by the bonfire under the mountains. We are a small place, so you get to know us, and we get to know you.

Bhutan’s first
A regenerative eco farm stay
Sustainable means doing less harm. Regenerative means leaving the soil, the water, the forests and our community healthier than we found them. Every night you stay, every meal you eat and every tree you adopt helps the land heal and grow.
- 01Living soilWe farm organically, with no chemical fertilisers or pesticides, so the soil grows richer every season.
- 02A million native treesWe have pledged to plant one million trees. Guests plant native trees here, and we care for them after you leave.
- 03Farm to tableMore than 22 crops from our farms in Paro and Punakha go straight to your plate. Cooked fresh, never with MSG.
- 04Sun and windWe dry our fruit and vegetables with solar and wind power, and keep our footprint light.
- 05No plasticNo single-use plastic and no plastic water bottles. Water is served in glass.
- 06Teaching the next generationWe train local women, and welcome children, schools, colleges, farmers and anyone who loves organic farming to learn where food comes from and why organic is so good for the body.
